Who Are We
We are the proud founders of NS Café, an Indian restaurant and tiffin service based in Coventry, just minutes away from the University of Warwick. As Warwick alumni and a husband‑and‑wife team, we understand exactly what it feels like to be far from home and miss the comfort of fresh, homely Indian meals.
Our dream was simple – to create a space where students, professionals and local families could enjoy authentic Indian cuisine in Coventry, made with love, care and the same traditional recipes we grew up with.
At NS Café, we combine our passion for cooking with our personal experience of student life in the UK. We wanted to fill the gap for healthy, affordable tiffin services in Coventry, especially for Indian students at Warwick University who deserve food that feels like home.
Every dish we prepare is more than just a meal – it’s a piece of our heritage. From fragrant biryanis and soft rotis to comforting curries and dosas, we bring together flavours from across India to give you the best of both north and south Indian cuisine.
Our vision is to be UK’s go‑to destination for fresh Indian food, tiffin services and family‑style dining, where each guest is treated like part of our extended family.
From our kitchen to your hearts – each dish is a story, and each guest is family.

Why We Do What We Do
When I was a students at the University of Warwick, we often missed the comfort of simple, fresh, home‑cooked Indian food. That feeling of sitting down to a meal that tastes just like home is something no restaurant could quite replace.
NS Café was born out of that longing and love for authentic flavours. We wanted to create a space where students and professionals far from home could find warmth, care and a sense of belonging – just as we had once wished for ourselves.
Every tiffin we pack, every dosa we serve, is our way of sharing a piece of home with you. Our mission is to be an extended family for Indian students in Coventry, providing more than just food – offering comfort, community and a “home away from home”.
Because for us, food isn’t just about taste. It’s about memories, love, and the joy of knowing you’re never truly alone.
Our Journey
Our Story
As alumni of the University of Warwick, we remember all too well the longing for fresh, home‑cooked Indian food during our student days. Coventry has a vibrant community, yet we often struggled to find the simple, wholesome meals that reminded us of home. Rather than accept that gap, we turned our passion for food into a dream and opened NS Café – the closest shop we could find to the university of Warwick.
We’re a husband‑and‑wife team who believe that a meal should feel like a hug from home. Our mission is to act as an extended family for Indian students and anyone far from their own home. By offering authentic dishes, friendly faces and a welcoming space, we aim to create a “home away from home” where you can share stories, savour familiar flavours and know you’re part of our family.

We tried the tea, coffee, samosa chaat, and chole bhature—everything was full of flavor and perfectly made. The samosa chaat was tangy and delicious, and the chole bhature were rich and satisfying. Great service, lively vibe, and a place we’d definitely visit again! Rajesh2025-04-22Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Nice food and atmosphere! Good taste Louise Colley2025-04-14Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Tried this cafe today for the first time, and was impressed with the service. The owner and staff were really friendly, and the food (butter chicken, daal and pilau rice) was delicious. Also the coffee (Indian filtered) was the nicest I’ve ever had. The staff also made an additional kind gesture for my non-verbal autistic son which was greatly appreciated. All in all, a pleasant experience at a place I shall now visit regularly. Highly recommended. Aarthi Mahadevan2025-04-05Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
